"GOODBYE CASANOVA" the debut feature from veteran film storyboard illustrator MAURO BORRELLI, will open the second annual Los Angeles Italian film Awards on April 25 at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood.

Borrelli who wrote and directed the fantasy/romance, provided conceptuaql illustrations and storyboards for Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow", Jan De Bont's "The Haunting," Bernardo Bertolucci's "Little Buddha" and Terry Gilliam's "The adventures of Baron Munchausen," among others.

Set in a modern-day neighborhood bookstore, "CASANOVA" stars Yasmine Bleeth and Flea, along with Giancarlo Scandiuzzi (Killing Zoe) in the title role as the ghost of the legendary lover who lives in a 17th century children's pop-up book.

"This film appeals to wide audiences of young and old alike as a fairy tale that everyone will enjoy," said Borrelli. "It is exquisitely and lavishly produced so that everyone can appreciate why Casanova was the master of love and why he's so inspirational."
